How long does it take for the USPTO to review my response to an office action?

The USPTO typically reviews Office Action responses in one to three months. This can still vary depending on the examiner's workload and the complexity of the issues addressed.

If a response fully resolves the concerns that were raised in the initially issued office action, the application proceeds to the next stage (publication or registration). If the examiner is not satisfied, a final office action follows. Tracking the application status through the USPTO's TSDR database allows you to monitor progress without needing to contact the examiner directly.
