Is there only an electronic certificate, or can I obtain a paper version as well?

Most IP offices are moving away from paper certificates and issuing electronic versions by default. A paper version can still usually be requested in most jurisdictions, often for a small fee.

For most practical purposes ( such as enforcement, licensing, transfers, and enrollment into platforms like Amazon or Walmart), an electronic certificate is fully sufficient. Paper certificates are occasionally needed for specific legal or notarial processes in certain countries.
