South Africa, Brazil, and Canada are among the slowest jurisdictions for trademark approval, with average registration times of 20 months or more for unchallenged applications. Other jurisdictions where the process regularly exceeds 10 months include the US, China, Spain, Italy, Russia, Vietnam, and Indonesia.

Processing times fluctuate with each office's workload and are not fixed. Any office action or opposition will extend the timeline further.
