Does an EU trademark cover Norway?

No. An EU trademark covers only the 27 EU member states. Norway is not an EU member and requires its own national trademark registration through the Norwegian Industrial Property Office (Patentstyret).

If protection is needed across both the EU and Norway, the Madrid System can cover both in a single international application, with separate designations for the EU and Norway.
