What can I submit as a specimen for goods?

For goods-based trademarks, acceptable specimens include:

  • A photograph of the actual goods bearing the mark.
  • The product packaging, label, tag, or container showing the mark.
  • A webpage screenshot that shows the mark alongside the goods for purchase, including the URL and the date of the screenshot. The page must show the mark in connection with the goods and a mechanism for purchasing them (price, shopping cart button, or equivalent).

The mark must appear directly on or in immediate association with the goods. A standalone advertisement or promotional image that shows the mark but does not show the actual product available for sale is generally not an acceptable specimen for goods.
