Do the lists of goods and services vary depending on the country?

Almost every relevant trademark jurisdiction across 150 countries uses the Nice Classification system. The class numbers and general categories are the same everywhere. What varies between countries is the accepted terminology for describing goods and services within those classes.

Each IP office has its own list of accepted descriptions. A term accepted in the EU's TMclass may need to be reformulated for the USPTO's ID Manual. When filing in multiple jurisdictions, the goods and services descriptions may need to be adapted for each office's requirements, even if the underlying goods and services are identical.
