How many people can own a trademark?

There is no fixed limit on the number of trademark owners. An application can name any number of individuals or entities as joint owners, provided all are identified with their details.

In practice, the more co-owners a trademark has, the more complex enforcement and decision-making become. For multi-party situations, holding the trademark through a purpose-built legal entity and licensing it to the parties is typically the more workable structure.
