You can tell it’s the right class if the goods and services within that class match what your brand actually offers on the market. Each class should correspond to something the business genuinely sells or provides under the mark.
Cross-referencing the selection against the IP office's official database of accepted goods and services descriptions confirms whether the terms used are recognized. A class that seems right by name may cover different activities than expected when the accepted subclasses are examined. The Nice Classification's official class headings and the WIPO's TMclass tool are useful references for this check.
If you are uncertain, a trademark attorney or class recommendation service can assess the business description and recommend the appropriate classes before the application is filed.
